Founder, CEO

Since founding his namesake company nearly 30 years ago, Jared Schenk has acquired and developed over 10,000 student-occupied units—totaling over 25,000 beds—in university markets nationwide.

Recognized as a thought leader in the dynamic student housing sector, Schenk has been a featured speaker at both the InterFace Student Housing Conference and the NMHC Student Housing Conference.

Prior to launching SCHENK+, he practiced real estate law at the Chicago-based firm Mayer Brown LLP.

LISA ROTH

Principal

As a Principal at SCHENK+ for over 10 years, Lisa Roth has been active in the student housing sector nationwide and is involved in all aspects of the business, including new investment and development, overseeing the portfolio, investor relations, and developing new capital relationships.

A real estate veteran of over 30 years, Ms. Roth has specialized in acquisitions, investment strategy, financing, and capital raising in a variety of property sectors.  She has acquired and managed over $3 billion of commercial real estate. 

Ms. Roth is a CPA and began her career at Ernst & Young and Equity Lifestyle Properties.  She received her BBA from the University of Michigan and her MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
